Edic-Mini Series
Edic-Mini
Digital Audio Recorder (DAR) is intended to record voice messages
within frequency band 300-3400 Hz in flash memory. It can play back stored
messages using an earphone or download the messages to a personal computer
as standard sound files.
Edic-Mini has small overall dimensions and weight, long battery life,
long record time , has a high-sensitive
built-in microphone (range up to 8 m) and wide dynamic range. Due to absence
of moving parts the unit is efficient in broad band of temperatures, in
conditions of shaking and dust content. Edic-Mini is connected to a
computer with a supplied adapter. The supplied software allows saving
recorded messages as standard sound files in "wav" format with date/time
stamp, Programmable user interface.
Since Edic-Mini has no moving parts it can safely operate in a wide
environmental range and without being detected by any special equipment.

Features:
+ Voice Activation System
DAR Edic-mini has Voice Activation System (VAS) which allows effective
silence compression during voice recording and thus extending recording
time.
+ Benefits of the used PCM compression
PCM
compression format perfectly compresses any sound information, not only
voice of a person as it’s made in other voice recorders. That is why DAR
Edic-mini provides excellent possibility to record any sounds and compress
it according to your settings without specific distortions.
+ Cyclic and/or linear record modes, internal real time clock
DAR
Edic-mini can store recorded voice messages to cyclic and/or linear buffers
(number and length of independent messages is restricted only by memory
size). Any part of the internal memory can be assigned to the circular
buffer. Each message is automatically date/time stamped by the built-in
real-time clock.
+ Powerful navigation system
The DAR provides the following possibilities of navigating while playing
back voice messages: you can jump to the next/previous/last/first message,
to the beginning/end of the current message, rewind/fast forward the current
message with variable speed and erase the messages from the internal memory.
+ LED indication
Two built-in LEDs display the DAR's mode and battery status.
+ Built-in and remote control
Two buttons control the DAR. It can also be remotely controlled by two
external inputs. All the functions of the buttons/external inputs as well as
the LED modes can be completely reprogrammed with a computer using the
included software package.
+ Hot switch of wide range of settings
The DAR supports fast selection of up to 8 record/playback modes including:
recording quality/density, mono/stereo mode (the setting of the stereo mode
is effective only for type S) and VAS settings, circular or linear recording
as well as rewind/fast forward speed and playback volume.
+ PC interface
The DAR can be connected to a PC through the standard LPT-port, switched to
bi-directional mode, using the supplied adapter. Data transfer rate is about
150-200 kbod (depends on a computer).
+ Software possibilities
Original software package operates under Windows 9x/Me/NT/2000/XP. It allows
to transfer voice and data messages between the DAR and PC, save voice
messages to PC's hard disk in standard format (for further replay and
editing by any third party PC software), synchronize the DAR and PC time and
completely reconfigure the DAR's user interface. The voice/data exchange
between the DAR and PC can be password protected.
+ Digital diskette mode
The DAR can be used as a “digital diskette” to store and carry over any
digital data files. You can use the DAR in both modes (voice recording and
data storage) simultaneously. A user can define the “digital diskette” size.
